Washington Wizards vs Houston Rockets pregame

Going into the Wizards and Rockets game, the main match up is probably going to be John Wall against James Harden. With John Wall as a quick and athletic young guard and James Harden who has had an amazing year with 27.2 points a game and 1.9 steals and has a unique way of getting to the free throw line going to the free throw line about 10 times and making 8 each game, the game coming up on Sunday will be closely contested. But the Rockets are going to need more from their young team to win this game. They are definitely going to need Trevor Ariza to play well because he will be guarding Paul Pierce. Another guy that Houston will need a lot is Terrence Jones. Whether he will be guarding Nene or Marcin Gortat, he will have to play good defense and use his athletic ability to drive to the basket and put some points on the board for Houston. Also Patrick Beverly is going to be a huge factor for Houston if he can contain John Wall and limit his amount of points.

Now on the Wizards side of the court, John Wall is definitely going to have to guide the team to a win. He is more of an offensive minded player than defense but is also an outstanding defender for a guard. He has a good way of finding guys under the basket for an easy basket and getting points for Washington. He is also averaging almost ten assists and if he can keep up his good work he will make a good contribution to the team. Another player on the Wizards that is going to have to come up big is Bradley Beal who will be guarding James Harden and is a pretty good defender. Beal has been struggling throughout the season with injuries and his shot has been off.

Overall this game could go either way with both teams looking for a good playoff spot. The Rockets are going to end up winning 108-103. James Harden will have 29 points and 6 assists and for the Wizard John Wall will have 26 points and 11 assists. Finally, Bradley Beal will contribute to the team with 17 points and 6 rebounds.
